Job Title: Finance officer ( on part time basis)
Location: Ganja, with possible travel to regions
Number of working hours per week: 20
Bridge to the Future (BF) is a national youth NGO working with young people. The organization is located in Ganja. The organization is seeking a successful candidate to fill the position of Finance officer, offered for general financial management and regulation of finance in short-term/pilot youth projects of Bridge to the Future Youth Union.
Job description: “Bridge to the Future” Youth Union invites applications from highly qualified, young, energetic, and experienced Azerbaijani professionals for the position of Finance officer. This position covers regulation of financial documentation of the BF and reporting to the donor institutions working with BF present and in future. This position directly reports to the Chairman at “Bridge to the Future” Youth Union.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare all financial documents for management’s approval (payment orders, etc).
Process all bank and petty cash payments.
Assist in preparation of funding requests to donor institutions and ensure that sufficient funds are available locally.
Assist program coordinators with budgetary analysis.
Assist in preparation of monthly / annual financial reports for the mission and donor reports.
Maintains a filing system for vouchers.
Update inventor list through the working process.
To develop financial and admin policy manual and provide its implementation
Keep records of expends in accordance with Azeri legislation and donor principles.
Prepare quarterly reports for authorities as required by Azeri legislation.
Do bank reconciliation.
Perform other tasks as set forth by the Azeri legislation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required qualifications:
Education in Accounting, Finance or a combination in relevant education and experience;
Minimum 2 years of professional experience in the related field;
Fluency in Azeri (candidates with written English will have preference);
Working knowledge of accounting software and spreadsheet applications;
Strong computer skills, especially MS Office (Excel essential);
Managerial & organizing ability and/or experience;
